Scars of Survival Magazine is looking for an experienced Marketer to support the team in the development of strategic partnerships and organizational planning.

  • Develop sales and marketing concepts Fulfill requests for proposals to meet the objectives of client/agency partners and manage the execution of marketing partnerships for print, digital, podcast and experiential touch points across the globe.
  • Manage media plans execution and spearhead all elements of client campaigns ensuring fulfillment, maximum performance, targeted reach and execution of those campaign elements.
  • Develop compelling marketing campaigns which generate recurring and new client revenue.

Sales Representative/Planner

We are looking for someone to join our sales team who loves media planning, creating awesome campaigns, and working cross-departmentally to deliver results. 

The Sales Representative/Planner position is responsible for sales planning responsibilities including building media plans (request for proposal) response decks. 
  • Support your Manager/Director to help your sales team hit or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Play an active role in submissions - for example: participating in brainstorms with the Sales development or Sales Leads and crafting proposal decks to position SCARS of SURVIVAL MAGAZINE media capabilities in the marketplace. 
  • Act as a trusted resource for your partners (agencies and clients) by recommending and putting together proposals that meet their marketing objectives and needs.
  • Effectively communicate, author presentations/proposals, and demonstrate the value of SCARS of SURVIVAL MAGAZINE to partners. 
  • Track and manage pending, and booked business and be able to speak to the current volume of team revenue.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and evolve with the ever-changing digital landscape, including learning how to sell and position new products and platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with departments and key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Legal Counsel



The Legal Counsel is a transformative team member who aids in the Law Department and delivers legal and business affairs services to the Company. 

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating wide range of complex contracts, including production, sponsorship, agency, consulting, talent, influencer, trademark and content licensing, vendor services, marketing and co-branded content, digital distribution, venue licenses, real estate leases, publicity consents, photo releases, non-disclosure, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Providing legal counsel to internal business units and company leadership on various advertising, marketing, intellectual property, social media, sweepstakes, privacy, and data laws, concerning such topics as fair use, music synchronization, FTC, consumer protection laws, and data privacy.
  • Providing legal counsel on human resources matters, drafting independent contractors and employment agreements.
  • Reviewing and advising on editorial content.
  • Developing the Company’s policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance, and regulatory affairs.
  • Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to litigation.
  • Tracking all Company contractual obligations, legal documents, and legal proceedings.
  • Coordinating fillings of licensing forms and other statutory requirements.
  • Communicating with outside counsel 

  • If your a active law counsel, must be a member of good standing with the Bar Association in your state.
  • Preferred 1-5 years’ experience working in-house counsel for a media or entertainment company or currently obtaining degree.

Collect and analyze facts about newsworthy events by interview, or observation. Report and write stories for the magazine. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Report and write news stories for publication or describing the background and details of events.
  • Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story. Review and evaluate notes taken about event aspects in order to isolate pertinent facts and details.
  • Determine a story's emphasis, length, and format, and organize material accordingly. Research and analyze background information related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.
  • Gather information about events through research, interviews, experience, and attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social, and other functions.
  • Investigate breaking news developments such as human interest stories pertaining to domestic violence or relatable survivor stories.
  • Revise work in order to meet editorial approval or to fit time or space requirements. .Photograph or videotape news events, or request that a photographer be assigned to provide such coverage.
  • Transmit news stories or reporting information from remote locations, using equipment such as telephone.
  • Present live or recorded commentary via broadcast media.
  • Conduct taped or filmed interviews or narratives.

Promoter is a marketing professional responsible for demonstrating the features of a product to an audience or client. Promoter shows how the product works, takes questions and attempts to persuade consumers or clients to buy the product. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and provide information on promoted products/services
  • Create a positive image and lead consumers to purchase subscription, ad space, sponsor, and subscribe to newsletter.
  • Use lectures, films, charts, and/or slide shows to show product.
  • Distribute product samples, brochures, flyers etc. to source new sales opportunities.
